The New York Times has released a report showing that the newest prospective real estate buyers, the ones who will be buying a house in the next few years, believe that the housing market will treat them very well. The findings released in the report show that the newest generation of prospective buyers are eager to jump into real estate, and customize a home specifically to suit them. They want to design a home that “fits their personality”, and 61 percent want a home they can be proud of. After all, the nicest apartment in the city doesn't mean much if you can't show it off to friends and colleagues.

The survey shows that New York's next round of real estate buyers are very optimistic about the real estate market as it currently stands, and they're looking for bargains. Some experts agree that the biggest draws for these young buyers are amenities and status. Amenities such as pools, home theaters, and green space all play a major role in the decision-making process. Using renewal sources of energy, such as solar, may give an apartment the edge in a home-search.

Regardless of their reasons, it's becoming clear that the buyers that brokers most seek are going to buy homes hot just for their visual appeal, or their location. They'll be considering every aspect of the purchase before they make it because they're determined not to make the same mistake as their predecessors.
